The Director of Procurement will be responsible for the physical and financial management of all products handled by the Agronomy, Energy, and Animal Nutrition Business Units.
The Details
Position Purpose and Reporting Structure:
Under the direction of and reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Director of Procurement is responsible for purchasing all crop inputs, feed ingredients and fuel products, including setting and meeting of Agronomy, Energy and Animal Nutrition Business Units budgets, purchases and cost of goods forecasts, and P&L reporting in line with the PCE’s long-term strategic initiatives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include:

Procuring and overseeing the delivery of crop inputs with the standard pricing, quality and volume forecasts provided by the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) Manager.

Management of the physical and financial risk management as all the products handled by the Business Units

Generate Reports to track the procurement performance based on the Key Performance Indicators

Develop and maintain long-term relationships with vendors.

Present innovative products and technology to our Technical and Sales Team

Monitor inventory levels, accuracy, safety stocks and working capital utilization.

Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.

4‐year degree in business administration or agriculture and a minimum of (5) five years’ experience in Crop, Feed and Energy products in the Agricultural Industry.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret business reports, financial reports, and legal documents.

Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

Ability to present information and respond to inquiries from management, contractors, and employees.
-
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fundamental and advanced accounting procedures and probability and descriptive statistics. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Strong leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Strong computer/technology skills.

Experience & proficient aptitude with software tools: EFC, Microsoft Office, and Excel

Excellent organizational skills, communications skills, the ability to multi‐task, and the ability to work well in a team.
