The Human Resources Manager will oversee all facets of the human resources department including, but not limited to, human resource and talent strategy, compensation, benefits, payroll, and performance management systems. They will collaborate with senior leadership to determine best practices and strategies as it relates to human resource, talent, and benefits issues.
The Details
New Vision Co-op (New Vision), a successful and growing cooperative with 180 employees and nearly $1B in sales near Worthington, MN seeks an experienced Human Resource Manager to be part of its senior leadership team. The HR Manager will report to Matt Ashton, the CEO of New Vision.
The HR Manager will oversee all aspects of the human resources function including human resource and talent strategy, compensation, benefits, payroll, and performance management systems. The HR Manager will collaborate with the senior management team to determine training and development needs as well assist with benefits, employment issues, and work/life issues. The HR Manager will maintain and update the employee policy manual, job descriptions, and other HR-related documents.
The HR Manager will work with the Safety Director to promote a safe work environment and New Visions’ focus on safety. The HR Director will be expected to maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. This position has one direct report.
The ideal candidate will have a BS degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field and ten years’ related experience. The candidate will have demonstrated experience in talent management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and other areas related to human resources. Detail orientation and the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and business ethics required. Must be self-motivated and able to work well as a team member. Coop experience and ag knowledge not required but would be preferred. SHRM or HRCI certifications preferred but not required.
Compensation includes a base salary commensurate with experience and profit-sharing opportunity. A comprehensive benefit plan is offered. Coop experience and ag knowledge would be preferred but not required. Once established, the HR Manager may work from home one day a week. The HR Manager should live within one hour driving distance of Worthington/Brewster, Minnesota.
