Since 1976,

Hedlin Ag Enterprises has specialized in retained executive search for agribusinesses and agricultural associations throughout the United States. Why has it endured since founded by Larry Hedlin? It’s our philosophy and dedication to strive to be the best, not the biggest.

The Farm Equipment Manufacturers Association (FEMA), based in St. Louis, MO, seeks candidates for its CEO position.  FEMA serves as a resource and advocate for the shortline farm equipment industry.   It represents manufacturers of specialized agricultural equipment, their suppliers, and their distributors.

FEMA understands the distinct needs of this niche group and works hard to support them so that they can do what they do best:  bring choice, value, and innovation to agriculture.   FEMA’s primary focuses are on relationships and connections with suppliers to its members and to support its members in their marketing efforts.

Previous CEO or general management experience is not required for this position however the successful candidate will have led a team accountable for significant results.  The person must have a record of developing and implementing organizational plans.   The successful candidate will have prior P&L responsibility.  Prior association experience is not required but having an idea of how they function is.  A manufacturing background is strongly preferred and an ag background is not required but preferred.  The successful candidate will be expected travel to visit member locations as part of their responsibilities.

Compensation is salary-based (commensurate with previous position and experience) with bonus possible.   FEMA has an extremely competitive benefit program.   A company car is provided with this position.
