Farmers Union Cooperative, an established, successful, and consistently profitable multi-location cooperative with over $100M in sales headquartered in Ossian, Iowa, is seeking a General Manager to oversee all aspects of its ag retail business due to retirement.  Established in 1912, Farmers Union has 67 full-time employees along with part-time and seasonal employees driving the grain, agronomy, feed, and energy departments.   Farmers Union is supported by CoBank as its lender and is part of the ABC retirement program.

He/she will provide management leadership in the planning and determination of business strategies, policies, and programs.  This person will also be responsible for directing and coordinating all aspects of operations through direct reports.

The ideal candidate will have successful managerial experience in the ag industry with P&L accountability. However, the greatest emphasis will be placed on evaluating individual situations regarding job complexity, P&L, and balance sheet accountability, and results/success.
