The Location Manager is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of an assigned Linn Cooperative Oil Company agronomy location. This role provides direct leadership to location staff, ensures excellent customer service, and maintains safe and efficient facility operations in alignment with company policies, goals, and values. The Location Manager reports directly to the Assistant General Manager or General Manager.
JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY: ​

The Location Manager is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of an assigned Linn
Cooperative Oil Company agronomy location. This role provides direct leadership to location
staff, ensures excellent customer service, and maintains safe and efficient facility operations in
alignment with company policies, goals, and values. The Location Manager reports directly to
the Assistant General Manager or General Manager.
Position Schedule:
Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. - Seasonal Hours required​

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:​​
​

Manage all daily operations of the assigned agronomy location, including fertilizer,
chemical, application activities, and seed sales.

Supervise, schedule, delegate and evaluate location team members.
-
Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement; promote a
positive, safe, and productive work environment where team members feel valued and
supported.

Monitor and manage location inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and
reconciling product to ensure accurate records.

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing exceptional
service and resolving issues in a timely manner.

Ensure location compliance with all company policies, safety regulations,
environmental standards, and applicable laws.

Prepare and review location reports, including sales, inventory, and operational
performance metrics; communicate results to senior management.

Oversee facility maintenance and coordinate equipment repairs to ensure safe and
efficient operations at all times.

Collaborate with the Assistant General Manager or General Manager and leadership
team on strategic goals, budgets, and improvement initiatives.

Mentor and develop location team members through training, coaching, and yearly
performance evaluations.

Other duties as required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
​​

Proficient in Oakland Accounting System, AgSync and related location software;
-
Must pass a background check and drug and alcohol screen;
-
Class A or B CDL license with air brake, hazmat, and tanker endorsements
preferred; -
Ability to maintain positive relationships with customers; ability to communicate
effectively and maintain working relationships with other Co-op employees and
supervisory personnel; -
Ability to understand and make decisions in accordance with business rules,
regulations, policies, and procedures; -
Ability to quickly learn and apply new skills and knowledge brought about by rapidly
changing information; -
Valid Driver’s license required

ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
​

​Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business, or a related field preferred;
-
3–5 Years Supervisory or Management Experience required;
-
Experience with Microsoft Office programs required;
-
Experience in agriculture, or cooperative business preferred;
-
Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge
and abilities necessary to perform the work.
